Hatch LGRA Award

The Hatch LGRA Award for Basenji is presented to the most promising Basenji racer of the year, as determined by the award committee, in memory of Hatch, Apu Two Thirds of Niner.

Hatch was tragically killed at the 2007 Nationals when he escaped from the host hotel. He showed exceptional promise as a racer, having earned 7.5 GRC points in just five meets. It is hoped that many will follow in his footsteps.

This award is presented by the friends and family of Carol Castellino, Hatch's owner.
